What is Sarah Cannon Cancer Center
The TriStar Sarah Cannon team includes medical oncologists, hematologists, gynecological oncologists and radiation oncologists, as well as general surgeons, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, gynecologists, urologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, internal medicine physicians, radiologists, pathologists and others who provide diagnostic and treatment services to our patients in our facilities. Also included are the nurses, mammographers, laboratory technologists, case managers, social workers, rehabilitation specialists, nutritionists, patient navigators and the cancer data management team.
Another important component of TriStar Sarah Cannon staff are those in the research department, based primarily in the offices at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee. These are the individuals who design the protocols, enroll the patients, monitor the results, and analyze the data. However, patients enrolled in protocols frequently receive their treatments in their home communities.
